E911 Enterprise Compliance

KMA breaks new ground with this North American E911 enterprise compliance pilot project.

Case Study Detail

KMA was chosen to execute a North American pilot project in 2007. The New England based project required helping a corporation that needed to comply with enhanced 911 services according to state regulations and legislative requirements. The pilot involved mining data never before collected.

To begin a project never before attempted, KMA captured master data from the client and analyzed risks to the client’s telephone environment and communication programmes and services, according to in-house policies and procedures. Public safety answering points (PSAP) were considered and all deficiencies were identified. Technology was selected on the basis of both safety governance and compatibility with the existing technology being used corporation-wide and by community stakeholders.

Ultimately, the KMA team created practices and procedures to ensure long term maintenance for the enterprise and provided a detailed presentation on the pilot project to various committees and regulatory bodies.

As a result of KMA’s management of this pilot project, several parties reached their very different yet ambitious goals and have invited KMA to take the lead in further North American research into the subject of E911 enterprise compliance.
